Biography Born in West Virginia in 1971, Robert grew up and lived in several places across the US and over seas. He studied fine art and photography earning his BA from Thomas Edison State College in New Jersey. In 1993 Robert joined the US Air Force as a photographer where he documented the transition of the missile program to the B2 Bomber program at Whiteman AFB. He also served a one year tour in South Korea where he spent much of his off duty time exploring and photographing the culture. With a short break in his career as a photographer to serve as an aircraft mechanic in the US Coast Guard, Robert returned to photography with a new found passion. He joined the California National Guard in 2003 as a photojournalist for the Grizzly Magazine and was deployed to Kuwait in 2005 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He has also worked on staff at the Folsom Telegeaph and managed his own business as an editorial and corporate photographer. Currently Robert focusses on fine art photography in Sacramento. In 2008 he began a project photographing the the wildlife, nature and landscape of the American River Parkway and continues to add to his portfolio. And whenever his travels take him elswhere, you can be sure his camera is with him. |
